DIRTY DEEDS
Big Tingz Recordings
Things are really jumpin\' for the U.S. based D&B duo known as Dirty Deeds. Since their conception in 2004 by DJ SDF1 (one half of the group), they\'ve had consistent releases and performances that have taken them to the top of the united states D&B movement. SDF1 had become a local fave in the Los Angeles rave scene shortly after his start in 1995/96. For almost a decade he spent each week performing at raves. clubs, concerts while honing his production skills toward material that could gain recognition. About 10 years after his start, he combined forces with Blitz, a local MC who began to focus on his own DJing and production skills toward the group. As the two moved forward together they found that their styles meshed and folks were beginning to flock to Dirty Deeds performances - a buzz was turning into a serious reputation on the west-coast. In 2004 they had a couple releases on US-based record labels like Technorganic(Florida) and Cause & Effect records(Boston). These releases were done with a former member of the group Frank Fitus. Things really started coming together when they met UK DJ/Producer Silver(Accidental Heroes) who had recently moved to the States and was looking for new talent to be a part of his Nemesis Record label. It would be at the end of 2005 that the \'Deeds earned a spot on Nemesis records with their tune \'Cannonball\' a collab with their good friend Toxic, which smashed it\'s way onto BBC 1Xtra radio getting played and spoken highly of by the likes of L Double & Sappo. This tune also found its way into many Dj sets worldwide and gained them noteriety and respect as talented producers. They were then asked to be a part of Silver\'s \'Winter Sessions\' annual showcase at WMC (winter music conference) in Miami, where they\'ve played each year since then. This furthered their exposure and opened even more doors. With the digital era at hand they found themselves starting up their own mp3 label called DIRTY DIGITAL. This label would feature the \'Deeds as well as friends they\'d made in D&B from all over the world. Then in 2006 they were contacted by Q Project from the legendary Total science about a tune they had going around called \'Mental\'. Q showed interest in them and wanted to release the \'Deeds on FIX records, a jump up off-shoot of the famous CIA Record empire. They sent over the tune \'Time Machine\' to Q Project and their record was promptly released only to become another smash hit, played by many dj\'s and fueling the fire beneath the group. After returning from another year at WMC and working hard throughout 2007 on both their production, performance and promotion it was evident that an independent record label of their own was the next step in their logical progression. They then met Callide from the UK who helped in a huge way by referring them to folks who would be interested in what they were up to. SDF1 from the \'Deeds got some quality material together and shopped the idea of his BIG Tingz label to distributors LOAD Media over in the UK. It was almost instantly picked up and in October of 2007 his BIG Tingz record label came to life. The first release BIG 001 includes the tune \'Sonar\' by Dirty Deeds and the tune \'Tag it\' from New york duo Hoogs & Murdok; its promos sold out at chemical records the first day. With a full cover release scheduled for the end of November, this highly anticipated stateside label has no limit to what it can do, with forthcoming releases by Heavy Hittahz & Toxic(Los Angeles), Mutated Forms(Estonia), PH(Russia) and many more to come establishing BIG Tingz as an international label in the same rite as Nemesis & Fix records. Dirty Deeds also has a collaboration once again with Toxic called \'Toxico\' which is slated to be released on Wild West Records, a label run by Australia\'s Dub Alley. Marketing, PR and merchandise is important to the group and the \'Deeds have not limited themselves to music but also have a Dirty Deeds clothing line as well. At any given performance you can find fans sporting one of a kind custom T-shirts, hats and coming soon special garments for the ladies including tops, shorts and panties. Things are definitely jumpin\' off for Dirty Deeds as they look ahead to a tour of South America and their very own showcase at he next annual WMC. With more relases to come and a forthcoming Dirty Digital album, the future hold much for this dynamic duo from Los Angeles who plans to bring more of their musical stylings to the entire world.
